| All PMC insulated and
bare thermocouple and extension wire is selected to meet
standard initial calibration tolerances for temperatures
above 32 ºF (0 ºC) as given in ANSI MC96.1 and shown on
Accuracy of PMC Thermocouple Wire and Accuracy
of PMC Extension Wire charts. It is important to note however
these limits do not include system or installation error. Wire conforming to special limits calibration tolerance, or for below 32 ºF (0 ºC), and wire with certified traceable calibrations, is available on request, at an extra charge. PMCs quality control lab personnel provide a Certificate of Calibration which includes the deviation (correction factor) temperature range of -110 ºF to 2350 ºF depending on calibration type, gauge, and insulation. PMC calibration system is traceable to The National Institute of Standards and Technology - NIST, (formerly NBS) on a secondary standard basis per Mil Std. 45662. Calibration procedures are per: - ASTM E220 |
