PRODUCT
CODE: TE/TW
Our customers have grown to expect only the highest quality
product from PMC A Division of R-SCC.
This FEP (Fluorinated
Ethylene Propylene) twisted construction was designed for economical,
expendable thermocouples up to 400°F (204°C), and offers excellent
resistance to abrasion, moisture, and chemicals.
FEP was commercially
introduced in 1960 by E.I. Dupont and is a true thermoplastic. In this
construction it is applied as an insulation by a conventional extrusion
process. It retains useful strength and flexibility over broad ranges
of environmental temperature or thermal aging. The color-coded insulated
singles are twisted together at a nominal 1" to 2.5" lay with
no jacket applied.
These twisted conductors
with their low coefficient of friction allow for easy installation in
applications where vacuum leakage can be a problem. Other applications
for this "TE/TW" construction include composite curing, food
processing (in which FEP is FDA approved), medical instrumentation,
environmental testing, and aerospace.
You will find our
qualified sales and engineering staff eager to assist you in selecting
a design to meet the requirements of your specific application.

| NOTE: |
Percent
limits apply directly to temperature in °C units, but for °F equivalents
are applied to the numbers of °F above or below the ice point (+32°F).
(i.e. Limit (°F) = (Temp. °F-32°F) x Percentage) |
 |
Thermocouple
wire cannot be expected to meet the limits of error at temperatures
below the ice point unless specified at time of purchase. |
