PRODUCT CODE: RB/TW

Our customers have grown to expect only the highest quality products from PMC A Division of R-SCC.
The Filaflex® twisted construction was designed for economical, expandable thermocouples at high temperature applications up to 1400°F (760°C).

Filaflex insulation contains a high tensile strength low alkali magnesia alumina silicate vitreous fiber braid. Prior to impregnation the insulation is inorganic, incombustible, and will neither expand or contract with moisture changes. Once the material has been braided onto the wire, it is impregnated with a special binder for color coding and to improve moisture and abrasion resistance. These insulated singles are then twisted together (with no jacket applied) for easy installation and flexibility in most applications.

You will find our qualified sales and engineering staff eager to assist in selecting a design to meet the requirements of your specific application.

Variations of this construction are available upon request including protective metal coverings for improved abrasion resistance.

NOTE: Percent limits apply directly to temperature in °C units, but for °F equivalents are applied to the numbers of °F above or below the ice point (+32°F).
(i.e. Limit (°F) = (Temp. °F-32°F) x Percentage)
Thermocouple wire cannot be expected to meet the limits of error at temperatures below the ice point unless specified at time of purchase.
