PMC A Division of R-SCC offers a variety of metal coverings where the application demands additional protection against abrasion and cut through.   Product Code: SS (No Tracer) Stainless Steel Overbraid is by far the most common of the overbraids and is available on almost all thermocouples and extension duplex wire constructions. While highly resistant to corrosion, stainless steel is able to maintain a continuous operating temperature of 1400°F (760°).   Product: ST (Tracer) Resembles SS with a color coded fiber tracer identifying the calibration type with minimum braid coverage of 85%   Product:TC Tinned Copper Overbraid, although similar in some characteristics to stainless steel, is a more economical alternative. This product offers an improved feature of shielding against static noise (if it is properly insulated and grounded) with a continuous operating temperature of 400°F (204°C).   Product Code: IO Inconel Overbraid provides abrasion resistance and improved handling characteristics for the high temperature braided products up to 1800°F (982°C) continuous.   Other available Overbraids:   Product Code: NC Nickel Plated Copper Overbraid   Product Code: SC Silver Plated Copper Overbraid   Product Code: GW Galvanized Wrap is a half oval armor applied in a spiral wrap fashion. In addition to having similar characteristics to the overbraids, galvanized wrap maintains better crush and piercing resistant properties.   Product Code: SW Stainless Steel Wrap is applied in the same manner as galvanized wrap, but can operate in higher temperature 1400°F (760°C). This product is a nonmagnetic corrosive, and piercing resistant shield. Resistant to rusting in outdoor applications.
